French President Emmanuel Macron said Friday that he wanted Kyiv’s EU accession talks to start “by the end of the month” as he hosted Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky for discussions in Paris. Macron also said Friday that he wanted to “finalise” the creation of a coalition of military instructors for Ukraine in the coming days and lashed out at what he called a “camp of pacifists” and the “spirit of defeat”.  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described Russian President Vladimir Putin as “our common enemy” in an address to the French National Assembly, warning that Europe was once again “at a crossroads” 80 years after the D-Day landings in World War II.    US President Joe Biden on Friday announced another $225 million in aid for Ukraine and pledged “unwavering” support for the war-torn country as he held talks with Zelensky in Paris. During Zelensky’s visit, Franco-German battle tank maker KNDS announced the creation of a Ukrainian subsidiary aimed at speeding up the manufacture and supply of military equipment for Ukraine’s war effort.
