Many Britons like the idea of moving abroad to experience new cultures, a new pace of life, new cuisines and new landscapes – not to mention better weather.

For those who are keen to uproot in search of pastures new, 1st Move International has compiled the 2024 Relocation Index, revealing the top 10 “most desirable” countries to relocate to. Five European countries made the list.

“Whether you’re reuniting with loved ones, changing jobs, or seeking a new adventure, relocating is an enriching experience. It allows you to dive into a new culture, diversify your horizons, and create lasting memories. However, there’s no denying that it can be daunting,” an expert said.

The experts used Google search data to determine which countries people want to relocate to, looking at searches for relocating, moving, and houses to reveal the most-searched countries to migrate to.

Canada, known for its high quality of life and incredible natural beauty, came out on top with a whopping 1,526,780 relocation searches. For those looking to move within Europe, Spain could be their best bet.
