Insiders privy to the developments have added that Amakhosi have reached out to several clubs in Belgium and the Netherlands with the intention of arranging training facilities and possibly friendly matches too.
“The plans are there. The talks and negotiations with the teams in Belgium and Holland are ongoing. Management is now just waiting on the coach to approve where they should actually go,” said the Siya source.
Any decision on the exact destinations and the specifics of a European tour are contingent on the approval of Kaizer Chiefs’ yet-to-be-announced coach. The club’s management is keen on aligning pre-season plans with a new coach’s strategy and preferences.
“Negotiations with the clubs to play against and use their facilities are ongoing,” added the Siya source.
Another insider highlighted the selective nature of a tour’s participant list, noting that not all players and technical team members might travel.

“I don’t think it will be just everyone going there. They will see by that time which technical team member or player is going. That’s why they are waiting for the coach to approve the trio first and look at who will be on that tour. But they are working on going to either the Netherlands or Belgium for this off season training,” the second Siya source stated.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment but no response was received by the time this report was published.
