We thought we knew all the foods that are guaranteed a million likes on Instagram, but apparently we missed one. The Bagel Store in Brooklyn—AKA the bagel capital of America, nay, the universe—has introduced a breakfast treat unlike any other.
This vibrant rainbow bagel is the latest creation of “bagel artist” and Brooklyn native Scot Rossillo, who previously achieved recognition for his invention of the cragel (a cross between a croissant and bagel). In addition to the cragel, Rossillo considers himself the father of “Bacon, Egg and Cheddar Bagel,” a contribution that has made the world a much better place. “I left my partners in other bagel ventures so that I can bless bagel lovers from around the globe with my personal creations,” he writes in his bio.
Each bagel is made with “The Bagel Store’s unique starter, old-fashioned technique and that mystical NYC tap water,” resulting in a bagel that tastes as good as it looks. It seems the most popular topping choice is funfetti cream cheese, but if you’re feeling particularly decadent (and sprinkles just aren’t your thing), cookie butter and Nutella cream cheese are also options.
