DTPB’s recent blog post, “10 Things to Do in The Palm Beaches That Will Make You Feel Like You’re in Europe,” offers activity ideas for potential visitors who would rather come to The Palm Beaches. In addition, recent research from the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF) shows that The Palm Beaches are becoming a new incentive destination for Europe. IRF created an industry document called a “white paper” to share gathered insights from corporate incentive program owners and third-party house executives from Europe and Canada. After experiencing The Palm Beaches in person, the group shared valuable insights on the primary drivers of incentive destination decisions from their respective markets.
The white paper, titled “The State of International Incentives,” focuses on the priorities and challenges faced by European incentive planners, and includes their perspectives on the United States as an incentive destination. An incentive planner (or travel buyer) is someone who determines what incentive will make employees reach their goals faster or go beyond what they had set for themselves. Ultimately, an incentive planner’s job is to plan a trip to an intriguing destination, to entice employees to compete for the incentive trip award.
Findings from the study show many European countries want to use luxurious and unique U.S. locations for incentive trips, so The Palm Beaches is emerging as a compelling incentive destination for that sector of potential visitors.
