The Council of Europe’s Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) has published a compliance report on Ireland, assessing the country’s progress in implementing recommendations from GRECO’s 2022 evaluation report on preventing corruption and promoting integrity in central governments (top executive functions) and law enforcement agencies.

In today’s report, GRECO concludes that Ireland has satisfactorily implemented one of the eighteen recommendations set out in the evaluation report. Four recommendations have been partly implemented and thirteen have not been implemented.

GRECO notes that further progress is required by Ireland over the next 18 months to achieve an adequate level of compliance with its recommendations. In accordance with its rules of procedure, GRECO called on the Irish delegation to submit additional information on the implementation of the outstanding recommendations by 31 December 2025.
