ReCoNnect 3 at the Antipa Museum

Another edition of European Researchers’ Night, ReCoNnect 3, will take place at the Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History, located at Șoseaua Kiseleff nr. 1. From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the museum will transform into an open laboratory, inviting the public to engage with researchers in various interactive activities. Visitors will gain insights into the daily life of a scientist, from peering through electron microscopes to uncover the invisible details of specimens to learning about marine invertebrates and their ecological significance.

The event will also feature a collaboration with the Astronomical Institute of the Romanian Academy, which will exhibit meteorite fragments from across the globe. Visitors can study these rare space objects up close using binocular magnifiers.

A Science-packed evening

In addition to the two main venues, European Researchers’ Night in Bucharest is organized by a consortium of partners including the Antipa Museum, the Romanian Academy’s Astronomical Institute, Știință&Tehnică magazine, and several science-focused associations such as Science&Technology, Start Evo, and Fabrica de ghinde. The activities are further supported by the Environmental Department of Bucharest City Hall, offering a comprehensive and engaging experience for all attendees.

European Researchers’ Night 2024 will be a celebration of discovery, innovation, and collaboration, providing people of all ages with the chance to explore the captivating work of researchers across a range of disciplines. Admission is free to all events, so if you have a passion for science, this is the perfect opportunity to fuel your curiosity and connect with the scientific community.
