During the fair held at Sarit Center, several Kenyan students inquired about Obuda University, a renowned higher-learning institution in Hungary.
Scholarships for Kenyan students in Hungary
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Elizabeth, a Obuda University representative, highlighted Kenyan students’ increasing openness to pursuing their studies in Europe.

“Obuda University provides a wide range of programmes and opportunities. This has made it attractive to students including Kenyans seeking to pursue their studies abroad,” said Elizabeth.
As a result, Kenya and the Hungary government sought to expand educational ties.
In a landmark partnership, the Kenyan Ministry of Education and the Hungarian government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will provide 200 scholarships to Kenyan students wishing to study in Hungary.
The signed MoU aims to enhance educational exchange and collaboration between Kenya and Hungary. This fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation for each other’s cultures.
The deal also seeks to equip Kenyan students with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the development of their country.

In other news, the European Business University (EBU) of Luxembourg and Uamuzi Foundation announced a partnership to offer tuition-free civic education programs.
