French far-right leader Marine Le Pen went on trial Monday on charges of embezzling European Parliament money, in a case that could endanger her presidential ambitions. FRANCE 24’s Sharon Gaffney speaks to Olivier Costa, Research Professor at Sciences Po. He says that it will be very difficult for Marine Le Pen to make her case and that a conviction could have a serious impact on support for the National Rally from more moderate voters.
