Harland & Wolff Welders have suffered Cup defeats to Larne in each of the last two years
The prospect of upsets look few and far between in the first round of the BetMcLean Cup, but Harland & Wolff Welders might fancy their chances of exacting knockout revenge on Larne on Tuesday evening.
Eliminated from the Irish Cup in each of the last two seasons by Tiernan Lynch’s side, the Welders — who currently top of the Play-Fit Championship — are likely to come up against a much-changed Inver outfit given that Larne have a Uefa Conference League date with Molde on their schedule less than 48 hours after taking to the field at Blanchflower Stadium.
