Aleksander Čeferin, UEFA president

“Summer 2025 is set to be a summer of pleasure and further boost the boom in women’s football. The matches will be accessible to everyone. Women, men, children and families will have the opportunity to watch the best players in Europe at very good prices and, thanks to the combined tickets, to travel comfortably and inexpensively by train from anywhere in Switzerland to the eight host cities.”

Dominique Blanc, president of the Swiss Football Association

“UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 will be more than just a tournament, it will be another signpost that women’s football is on an unstoppable path. Our world-class players and teams will be centre stage for the most watched, most competitive and the most attended Women’s EURO ever. Our goal is to sell all 720,000 tickets and we want fans from Switzerland, Europe and beyond to join us as we make history next summer.”

Nadine Kessler, UEFA managing director of women’s football

Lara Dickenmann appointed tournament ambassador

Former Switzerland international Lara Dickenmann, who scored 53 goals in 135 appearances for her country, has joined Lia Wälti, the current captain of the Swiss national team, as an official ambassador of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

“We are excited to have Lara Dickenmann on board for Women’s EURO 2025. She is one of Switzerland’s greatest ever players and is known and respected across the continent for her fantastic career. She remains an inspiration to girls and boys everywhere.”

Nadine Kessler, UEFA managing director of women’s football

“Undoubtedly, UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 in Switzerland will inspire more girls to take up football and drive the growth of women’s football overall. There is no greater gift for any former player than inspiring the next generation.”

UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 volunteer programme application phase opens

Together with the eight host cities – and in collaboration with AXA, the official partner of the tournament’s volunteer programme – UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 is looking for 2,500 volunteers to support the organisation of the tournament and to help fans, guests and media feel welcome, whether at fan zones, in city centres or at the stadiums.

The volunteer programme values diversity and is open to everyone aged over 18 on 15 June 2025. Applications for volunteering can be made at volunteercommunity.uefa.com. Volunteers will undertake a wide range of activities, including accreditation, ceremonies, transport, media, ticketing and spectator services.

UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 will be held from 2 to 27 July 2025 in eight host cities across Switzerland, including Basel (opening game and final), Bern, Geneva, Zurich, St. Gallen, Lucerne, Thun and Sion.
