Brentford recently lost their talisman Ivan Toney, who moved to Saudi Arabia. His replacement, Thiago Igor, picked up a knee injury that will keep him out long-term.
Thomas Frank then suffered another blow after Yoanne Wissa went off injured last month with a problem that will keep him out for many months, as confirmed by the club’s statement.
The injuries have left the Bees stretched thin, with Bryan Mbeumo the only out-and-out attacker they have at the moment.
Luton Town, meanwhile, have made a pathetic start to life back in the Championship after getting relegated last season. Head coach Rob Edwards would be looking for fresh blood in January to resuscitate their season.

Journalist Alan Nixon reports that Ouma could be available for £4 million. The 20-year-old joined Elfsborg from Nairobi City Stars. He has one goal and two assists to his name this season, with Elfsborg sitting sixth in the league, 15 points behind table leaders Malmo FF.

Should the deal materialise, Ouma could become the second Kenyan to play in England’s top flight after Victor Wanyama. The former national team captain played for Southampton and Tottenham between 2013 and 2020.

Ouma bagged the goal and an assist, but it wasn’t enough to help his side avoid a 3-2 loss against AZ Alkmaar.
