BAE Systems launched a separate infrastructure effort in April to modernize a large US Army ammunition plant in Virginia.
In October 2023, the firm launched the construction of a new shipbuilding facility in Scotland to boost surface mission support for the Royal Navy. This followed the establishment of a ship repair station and a research center in the US.
Four months earlier, BAE negotiated with the Ukrainian government to build a weapons factory in the Eastern European country.
