Date: 18 September 2024 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Venue: Kulturhuset: Klara Biografen, Sergels Torg 7, Stockholm

As part of the New European Film Festival, which brings film debuts by talented directors from across Europe to the Stockholm audience, the Czech Center Stockholm will screen the critically acclaimed thriller “#annaismissing” by director Pavel Soukup at Klara Biografen on September 18, 2024, at 19:00.

The story follows Anna, an influencer known for her provocative content, who suddenly goes silent on social media. When 15-year-old Nina finds a photo of a half-naked Anna in her father’s phone, she decides to track her down. The events that follow dramatically change lives of both Nina and her family. The thriller #annaismissing is a loose continuation of the successful series #martyisdead, which won the International Emmy Award in 2020.

The New European Film festival is organized in cooperation with Klara Biografen, the Kulturbiblioteket Film Club, and EUNIC Stockholm (EU National Institute for Culture).

Before the screening, you can look forward to an online interview with the filmmakers, prepared by Johannes Mayer as part of the Kulturbiblioteket Film Club.
