Dubrovnik Airport handled 530,885 passengers in August, making it the second busiest airport in Croatia, behind Split Airport, which saw over 726,000 passengers. Zagreb Airport, the nation’s capital, managed 439,008 passengers during the same period.
In European rankings, Dubrovnik Airport was the 106th busiest in August and 130th from January to August. Meanwhile, Split Airport secured a spot in the top 100, ranking as the 88th busiest in Europe, reports EX-YU Aviation.
While Dubrovnik continues to see solid growth, many of Europe’s busiest airports, including London Gatwick, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Frankfurt, remain below pre-pandemic levels, with passenger numbers down by 8-14%.
