SVG Europe Audio’s upcoming Sports Audio Summit 2024 is pleased to announce speakers for the session titled ‘Paving the way: Pushing sports audio forwards through diversity and inclusion’.

Sports broadcasting audio lacks diversity behind the mic feeds, and that needs to change. With an ageing workforce of top level people in audio, young diverse recruits are required to keep the industry going as well as to bring new ways of listening to the table.

This year, head of SVG Europe Audio Heather McLean will be joined by Lucy Moss, BBC Sport operations executive, sound and comms lead and Hazel DeAyr, freelance sound assistant, to discuss the need for increasing the diversity of crews in sports broadcasting sound, as well as keeping those people in the industry and championing them on their way up the career ladder.

Sports Audio Summit 2024 sponsored by Audio Technica is taking place on Thursday 21 November at Kings Place, Kings Cross, London.
