Although Europe Day is officially celebrated on May 9, the EU Council’s Justus Lipsius building will open its doors on Saturday, May 4, offering a unique glimpse into the heart of the European Union. This Open Doors event is an opportunity for visitors to learn about how the EU functions, enjoy guided tours through the EU Council building, and engage in various interactive activities prepared by EU member states.

One of the highlights of the event is the atrium, where all 27 EU member states will have stands showcasing their national traditions, cuisine, and cultural attractions. Be sure to visit Czechia’s stand, where you can sample a variety of delicious Czech goodies and learn about the Permanent Representation’s work. You will also have a chance to connect with representatives from Prague, South Moravian, Pilsen, and Central Bohemian regions. It’s a fantastic opportunity to experience Czech culture and cuisine while celebrating European unity. This year is especially significant for Czechia and nine other member states, as they mark 20 years since joining the European Union.

The Open Doors at the EU Council’s Justus Lipsius building will run from 10:00 to 18:00, located at Rue de la Loi 175, 1040 Bruxelles. We look forward to seeing you on May 4, especially at the Czech stand, where you can celebrate with us!
