AI audio specialist Salsa Sound has returned as a Bronze sponsor of SVG Europe.
Using unique AI and DSP methods Salsa technology tracks events in live sports and uses this real-time data to produce an outstanding audio experience for both conventional and object-based broadcast.
Solutions include the AI-driven audio mixer MIXaiR which enables users to automatically create an immersive listening experience using standard microphone setups without any additional tracking or manual operation. The company also creates software tools for automatic quality control, including QC algorithms to detect and remove wind and rain noise from microphone feeds, glitch detection and up and down-mixing issues; and an audio workflow based on a limb-tracking algorithm which runs on an input video stream. It has also recently unveiled a new speech intelligibility metric which allows real-time monitoring of perceptual speech intelligibility, developed as part of a UK government-funded initiative.
Salsa Sound works with sports clubs and broadcasters, including Manchester City Football Club, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport and BT, to deliver immersive and exciting audio mixes for major sporting events around the world.
