Spanish rental company EFD Studios has unveiled plans to build what it describes as Europe’s largest virtual production facility, outside of the UK.
The facility, which is being built to the west of Madrid, will have more than 2,000 m² of set space equipped with LED technology and a state-of-the-art computing and processing chain, said the company
“The construction of this set reinforces EFD Studios’ commitment to the modernisation of the audiovisual sector in Europe,” said the company
“This cutting-edge space will not only attract major international productions, but will also optimise resources and reduce environmental impact, consolidating Spain as a benchmark in European film production.”
The facility is expected to open in Q2 2025.
