Council of Europe's anti-racism commission assessed the implementation of its priority recommendations by Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Monaco and Hungary

The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) has published today its conclusions on implementing the interim follow-up recommendations to Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Monaco, and Hungary.

The recommendations concerned the human rights of LGBTI persons, migrants and asylum seekers, inclusive education, as well as action against racist and LGBTI-phobic hate speech and hate crime.

In its monitoring reports published between 2022 and 2023, ECRI identified two priority recommendations for each country to implement within two years after publication. In the conclusions made public today, the Commission assesses their implementation and the progress that remains to be done.

The conclusions are based on government responses and information gathered from other sources. They only concern ECRI’s priority recommendations and do not aim to provide a comprehensive analysis of all developments in the fight against racism and intolerance in the countries concerned.
