“The tone is set: the Casino Café de Paris is now placed under the sign of the phenomenon series Squid Game. The theming is not limited to the simple decor: for the occasion, ten slot machines are entirely themed around the series. Players can now rediscover the legendary world of Squid Game, to the sound of the series’ iconic soundtrack, under fuchsia lights,” says a recent press release by the SBM.

The themed experience is thanks to a partnership between Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and Light & Wonder gaming manufacturer. Themes like Squid Games is part of a new marketing strategy by the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. In the future, new slot machines, some unique in Europe, will be launched regularly.

Last August, the Casino Café de Paris and its 480 slot machines were decorated in circus colours. Jugglers, artists, dancers, cotton candy sculptors and a ringmaster on stilts performed at the Casino during a “Jackpot Carnival” themed event, while four new slot machines were unveiled.

“Other festive and fun themes will continue to liven up the Casino Café de Paris, challenging its players a little more each day with new worlds,” says a recent press release by the SBM.

Just one month after its launch in September 2021, the South Korean series Squid Game amassed over 111 million views on Netflix, quickly becoming one of the most popular series in the world. A second season is expected right after Christmas 2024.
