Visit Monaco and Atout France have partnered to organise a six-day fam trip to Monaco and Nice, in collaboration with the European Travel Commission (ETC).

A select group of six high-end Australian luxury travel agents embarked on an immersive fam trip from 9 to 14 October. The exclusive itinerary offered the agents an unparalleled opportunity to discover the finest in luxury, culture, and hospitality on the Riviera.

Key highlights include:

Nice Cote d’Azur Metropolitan Area

Luxury accommodation: During their stay in Nice, agents had the opportunity to stay in 2 iconic 5-star luxury properties, Le Negresco Hotel and the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel. They also discovered two brand-new 5-stary hotels, Hotel du Couvent and Hotel Le Victoria by the Maison Albar Group. The discovery of luxury establishments continued in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat with the 5-star Hotel Royal Riviera.
Cultural discovery and Mediterranean Art of Living: The fam trip featured cultural and gastronomic experiences with visits to the Villa Massena, the Palais Lascaris, the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, and the Bellet vineyards. It also included unique activities, such as a VIP shopping experience at Galeries Lafayette in Nice Massena, a fragrance creation workshop at Galimard Perfume Factory and an immersive segway tour of Nice.

“The Nice Cote d’Azur Metropolitan Area embodies a seamless blend of luxury, heritage, and Mediterranean sophistication,” Australian regional director for Atout France, Dominique Maulin-Diabira, said. “Through this fam trip, agents were able to immerse themselves in the richness of Nice’s evolving luxury offering, from staying at iconic 5-star properties to experiencing the cultural treasures and unique lifestyle that make the destination truly exceptional.

“With exciting new hotel openings and exclusive experiences, Nice continues to assert its position as a premier destination for discerning travellers seeking both authenticity and elegance. As our partner, the Nice Cote d’Azur Tourism Office, perfectly puts it, ‘Winter is the new summer’. We are proud to showcase how the region is elevating its appeal in the global luxury segment.”

Luxury hotel and gastronomy: Agents checked-in at the iconic 5-star Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo and visited the 5-star Metropole Hotel Monte-Carlo, both showcasing the pinnacle of luxury accommodation. The fam trip featured culinary highlights, including Michelin-starred restaurants Pavyllon and Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac, as well as the iconic Cafe de Paris.
Experiential activities: Unique experiences such as a vintage car tour of Monaco, a gin tasting at La Distillerie de Monaco, a visit to the Oceanographic Museum, and witnessing the changing of the guards at the Prince’s Palace further enhanced the agents’ appreciation of the Principality’s cultural and historical wealth. To conclude the fam trip in the most memorable way, the agents enjoyed a 7-minute helicopter transfer by Blade from Monaco to Nice Airport, offering breathtaking views of the French Riviera.

“This joint fam trip was the perfect opportunity to showcase the unique combination of luxury and culture, with first-hand experiences of what makes Monaco and Nice truly unparalleled, helping them to create unforgettable itineraries for their clients,” Visit Monaco regional manager Australia and New Zealand, Claire Neil, said.

“With so many recent openings and updates, it was very valuable for the agents to (re)discover Monaco and experience how the destination continues to evolve while preserving its distinctive charm.”
