Wales’ record goalscorer Jess Fishlock says her career will not be defined by whether or not they qualify for Euro 2025.
Prior to Friday’s play-off semi-final first leg against Slovakia, she has told a new BBC documentary series, Iconic: The Rise of the Women in Red, that “the story has been a success, with or without qualification”.
Fishlock has previously said that this would “probably” be her last campaign but admits she will “never say never” as Wales look to reach the finals of a major tournament for the first time.
The final episode of Iconic: The Rise of the Women in Red will be broadcast on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Sounds at 1830 on Monday, 21 October.
