Kazakhstan celebrates Republic Day on October 25. The history of the holiday begins in 1990, when the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR adopted a declaration of state sovereignty.
The declaration as a document laid the foundations of the future constitutional law “On the State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, adopted on December 16, 1991. It established the basic principles on which our young independent state was subsequently built: unitarity, independence in international relations, indivisibility, and inviolability of the territory.
