Several flights have been cancelled due to Storm Ashley

But the stormy weather that hit Ireland over the weekend led to hundreds of flight cancellations and delays that meant several players have yet to arrive in camp as planned.

The FAI were unable to say who, or how many, had yet to arrive as Association officials and players made new travel arrangements after the chaos of Sunday.

But all are expected to arrive today ahead of Wednesday’s departure for Tbilisi for a tie where Ireland will be clear favourites, having beaten Georgia 11-0 and 9-0 in their last two meetings.

Boss Eileen Gleeson does have injury concerns as Ellen Molloy of Sheffield United limped out of their Championship win over Blackburn Rovers.

Megan Connolly was also absent from the Lazio team for the third game running though the club have not revealed if it is injury-related or tactical.

Meanwhile, three Ireland squad members have joined a group of over 100 female footballers in writing a letter to FIFA urging them to drop their sponsorship agreement Saudi Arabian company Aramco.

FIFA have a deal with the Saudi state-owned oil company to sponsor the next men’s and women’s World Cups, but footballers have lobbied for the agreement to be shelved citing Saudi Arabia’s human rights’ reputation.

Ireland internationals Diane Caldwell, Lily Agg, Ciara Grant, and Kyra Carusa – as well as the retired Sinead Farrelly – are all signatories.
