Ingka Centres Launches Livli to Redefine Community-Focused Retail and Leisure Destinations in Europe

(IN BRIEF) Ingka Centres has introduced a new consumer brand, Livli, aimed at transforming European destinations into lively, community-focused meeting places that go beyond traditional shopping. Livli Kungens Kurva in the Stockholm area is the first location to adopt the brand and is undergoing a transformation into a mixed-use space for living, working, and playing. The brand reflects Ingka Centres’ mission to offer sustainable, engaging, and playful experiences to meet evolving consumer needs.

(PRESS RELEASE) LEIDEN, 22-Oct-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Ingka Centres, part of the Ingka Group, has unveiled its new consumer brand for the European market, Livli, reflecting the company’s mission to create vibrant, community-driven destinations that go beyond traditional shopping experiences. The name “Livli,” which in Swedish means full of energy and joy, embodies the brand’s goal of offering welcoming, lively, and engaging spaces that resonate with local communities.

The first location to adopt the Livli brand is Livli Kungens Kurva in the greater Stockholm area, which is undergoing a major transformation into a dynamic mixed-use destination. This project aims to provide residents with an integrated space for living, working, playing, eating, and connecting, all while promoting sustainability. The development plan envisions a 24/7 district, designed with nature-inspired elements to enhance well-being, and seamlessly integrated with IKEA.

Sebastian Hylving, Global Expansion & Development Director at Ingka Centres, expressed excitement for the new brand: “Livli marks a significant moment for us, as it captures the energy and joy we aim to bring to our meeting places. We are adapting to evolving consumer needs by creating leisure and retail experiences that are sustainable, engaging, and playful.”

Livli joins other Ingka Centres brands, including Livat in China and Lykli in India, as part of the company’s broader strategy to reinvent European retail spaces and bring greater value to local communities.

Ingka Centres is part of the Ingka Group (which also includes IKEA Retail and Ingka Investments). Ingka Centres has over 50 years of experience in shopping centres and currently collaborates with over 2,000 brands within its portfolio of 36 shopping centers in 13 markets. The company hosts more than 271 million visitors each year at its IKEA-affiliated venues. Ingka Centres create their meeting places in collaboration with the local community as well as their partners and tenants to ensure that they become destinations with emotional significance that add value and build social community.
