Mourinho’s Fenerbahce await Ten Hag and United in the biggest Europa League tie this week, with the Dutchman in desperate need for a win to kickstart the team’s European campaign after two disappointing draws.

United got their first win in six matches at the weekend with a 2-1 comeback victory over Brentford. On top of that, we’ve won just one of our last nine matches in Europe.

The Reds needed a late Harry Maguire equaliser to salvage a point ahead FC Porto, despite holding a two-goal lead in the first-half. The centre-back has been ruled out for Thursday’s clash.

Fenerbahce have drawn with FC Twente but defeated Union St. Gilloise. That said, Mourinho’s side are already eight points off the pace in the Turkish Super League. He was in charge the last time the two clubs met back in November 2016 in the same competition.
