Europe: Referendum in Moldova: EU course narrowly approved by majority

In a referendum in the former Soviet republic of Moldova, the population has voted by a wafer-thin majority in favor of anchoring the EU course in the constitution. After counting all ballot papers, 50.46 percent of participants voted in favor of amending the constitution, according to the electoral commission.
