Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh has said Alex Salmond’s death shocked people who had met him during his time in North Macedonia.
The Alba Party chair had also been attending an event organised by the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy when the former first minister died after suffering a heart attack.
Ms Ahmed-Sheikh said people in the country helped to organise a memorial service as a way of paying tribute to Mr Salmond.
