San Marino got off to the dream start in the UEFA Nations League group with a historic victory over Liechtenstein in matchweek one – and will hope to repeat the feat on Thursday night at Gibraltar.

La Serenissima had not won a game in 20 years – a friendly win, also 1-0 against Liechtenstein – but come into the game as underdogs against fellow European minnows Gibraltar.

San Marino are given odds of 5/1 by Sky Bet to make it two from two, while Gibraltar – who only managed a draw with Liechtenstein in their first match – are the favourites at 8/13.

For those backing a draw, Sky Bet are offering odds of 23/10 for the game, which kicks off at 7.45pm.

The two sides have only faced off twice in their history, with both of those meetings coming as a result of the development of the Nations League.

Gibraltar are as yet unbeaten by San Marino, winning the first clash 1-0, before being held to a 0-0 draw in the landlocked micro-state in 2020.

Having never scored against Gibraltar, San Marino are priced at 40/1 to win from a losing position, while Thursday night’s opponents are only 14/1.

However, San Marino come into this fixture with perhaps more confidence than in their previous meetings.

Sky Bet odds for Gibraltar vs San Marino

Gibraltar – 8/13

San Marino 5/1

Draw – 23/10

To win from behind:

Gibraltar – 14/1

San Marino 40/1
