A new assassination attempt was made on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. This was announced by the politician himself.

According to him, the attempt was carried out in October, when a man with a loaded pistol tried to go to an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Carpathian-Duklin military operation. Fico believes that the assassination attempt is connected with his position on Ukraine.

Recall that in May 2024, an attempt was already made on Fico, when a local activist, Juraj Chintula, shot at him. The Slovak prime minister received several bullet wounds. One of the reasons for the attack was also the position of the Fico on Ukraine.
