The new teleport, strategically located in Nijkerk, Netherlands, is now fully operational and serves as a pivotal hub for satellite- and IP-based transmissions, enhancing TV2GO’s ability to cater to the growing demand for high-quality broadcasting solutions in Europe. The teleport facility in Nijkerk, just outside Amsterdam, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by a team of experienced engineers, ensuring seamless and reliable transmission for live events and broadcasts.
This venture emphasizes TV2GO’s commitment to innovation and expansion in the rapidly evolving broadcasting landscape. To TV2GO CEO International Gary Gladman, the joint venture represents a significant step forward for TV2GO: “The establishment of a Teleport in Europe reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional services to clients worldwide.”
The addition of this facility allows TV2GO Multi-Link Ltd. to streamline its transmission processes, reducing the logistical challenges of international transmission and offering improved flexibility. This ensures that broadcasters can deliver their content with confidence and precision.
Multi-Link Holland President Bob Snieder notes the benefits of Multi-Link’s collaborating with TV2GO International: “By combining our strengths and resources, we are now delivering unparalleled teleport services to clients across Europe and beyond.”
Lowell Conn, president, Protocol Sports, parent company of TV2Go, says TV2Go has been looking for a partner in Europe for a long time. “The reason Multi-Link made such sense is that they are a company known worldwide for creating transmission solutions for events that are abroad. They’ve got this legacy of being great problem-solvers for transmission around the world, and they have incredible engineer solutions.”
But, he adds, one thing Multi-Link had never done was to create its own teleport in the Netherlands. “This was a unique opportunity to help them take all the resources and create a teleport together.”
For existing TV2Go customers, Conn says, the upside is the possibility of more–cost-effective transmission as well as more-reliable transmission because now the TV2Go service is end-to-end: “We’ll be controlling both sides of the communication and not outsourcing. For new customers, it means that we can make a pitch that offers better prices and better service while Multi-Links can now offer a menu of transmission services around the world.”
