Educational seminar held for female Quran teachers in Bulgaria

Tens of female Quran teachers took part in an educational seminar held in the city of Kardzali in southern Bulgaria.

The educational program was aimed at elevating the level of the teachers’ Quranic skills, according to Al-Wikala website.

It was organized under the supervision of the city’s Dar al-Ifta (house of Fatwa).

Basri Aminfandi, the Mufti of Kardzali, and a number of teh city’s prayer leaders were also present at the seminar.

It included speeches on Quran teaching methods in schools.

There was also a workshop on teaching the Quran to children aged 4 to 6, whose instructor was Khadija Tudan, a children education expert.

Speakers at the seminar stressed the need for using various methods and strategies for teaching the Quran to different age groups based on their needs.

They also emphasized the importance of encouragement and motivation for Quran learners.

Those participating in the seminar also visited the new mosque of the city. All of the attendees were given certificates of honor at the end of the seminar.

The Republic of Bulgaria is a country in Southeast Europe. Islam in Bulgaria is a minority religion and the largest religion in the country after Christianity. According to a 2017 estimate, Muslims make up 15% of the country’s population.
