On September 26, 2024, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs Wu Hongbo, upon invitation, attended the reception held by the Embassy of Malta in China to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the independence of Malta, and had an exchange of views with Maltese Ambassador to China John Busuttil on China-Malta relations and China-Europe relations, among others.
