The value of Serbia’s external trade in goods for the first nine months of this year amounted to around €50.49 billion, marking a 3.6% increase compared to the same period last year.
Goods worth €21.83 billion were exported, an increase of 1.4%, while imports rose by 5.3% to €28.66 billion.
The trade deficit reached approximately €6.84 billion, which is a 20.2% rise compared to the same period last year.
The highest external trade in goods was recorded with countries with which Serbia has free trade agreements. European Union member states accounted for 58.7% of the total trade.
Serbia’s second most important trading partner was the CEFTA countries, with a trade surplus of €2.14 billion, comprising exports of €3.33 billion and imports of €1.19 billion.
The import-export ratio stood at 76.1%, lower than in the same period last year, when it was 79.1%.
