Pundits including Sunsport’s Kris Boyd believe the time is right for a change to be made.
And bookmakers are already pricing up who the next man in the Gers hotseat will be.
Rangers have had four different managers oversee the first 10 games in each of the last four seasons as the manager’s office at Ibrox has developed a revolving door.
Steven Gerrard kicked off season 2021-22 but moved on in November that year, replaced by Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

A year later the Dutchman was replaced by Michael Beale and he kicked off last season with some struggling stats – but they were BETTER than the Belgian’s current run after ten games.
That’s prompted a massive debate over the present boss’ tenure, how long it lasts and who could be next up.
Several names when Clement got the job last year are mentioned again, but there’s a surprise name amongst the usual suspects being tipped to takeover IF the Belgian gets binned.
And he is a face that will be recognised by Gers fans.
While Kilmarnock boss, Clement conqueror and former Rangers player Derek McInnes is the outright favourite for the role – another recent opponent has been tipped for a takeover himself.
That man is Henrik Rydstrom – manager of Malmo.
Philippe Clement reacts to Aberdeen loss
He’s been hailed as Europe’s most innovative coach’ and has a direct philosophy on how he wants to play football – dubbed ‘relationism’.
And he admits it “goes against everything that is logical”.
In summary it works AGAINST having players in set spread positions and instead focuses on a compact, high-pressure style rife with one-twos and movement ‘ladders’ – even in defensive areas.
He told Sky Sports: “I have this image of us as close-up magicians. You think you see everything but there is so much going on – one player drops, another moves away – and then suddenly, boom, we steal this thing that everyone thought they had their eye on.

“It is like when you hide the ball in one of three cups and then move the ball. You see everything in front of you but then we fool you.”
“The big difference is that sometimes we play really slow and do this overloaded tilt. That goes against the instinct of the average football fan who wants the team to be going forward and playing at high speed all the time.
“I do try to explain it to our fans but sometimes, when I am in the TV studio after a game, I just play along when they say I should play quicker, put balls in behind, switch the play. I just agree because I know it is not worth going into that discussion with them.
“I do not mind them not understanding – I do not want the opponent to understand either.”
As revolutionary as his approach may be however Rangers outfoxed his side in the opening game of this season’s Europa League – and it is results Gers fans are craving as well as an improvement on the football fayre being served up at Ibrox.
Market leader McInnes has picked up Old Firm scalps in the past tweo seasons – defeating Clement and predecessor Beale at Rugby Park and also eliminating Celtic from last season’s Premier Sports Cup.
Other runners and riders include Kevin Muscat and Frank Lampard who were considered a year ago as well as ex-England boss Gareth Southgate and out of work veteran Rafa Benitez.
