EHF EURO CUP 2026

Sweden vs Denmark 29:33 (16:17)

The doubleheader against Norway and Sweden was a good moment for coach Nikolaj Jacobsen to try some fresh faces in the Denmark side, but the system created and perfected by Jacobsen looks set to deliver, irrespective of the players who are on the court. This time, Denmark did not have right back Mathias Gidsel or Simon Pytlick, but still emerged victorious.

With plenty of new names in the squad, Sweden also only managed to stay really close for a half, with Denmark running and gunning in the second half, where they limited Sweden to only 13 goals scored. Only a single outfield player did not score for Denmark, with left back Lasse Andersson leading the way with five goals, while the MVP of the EHF EURO 2018 and the EHF EURO 2022, Jim Gottfridsson, scoring six times for Sweden.
