Tim Kleindienst’s performance was a revelation, with the striker scoring his first and second goals for Germany in emphatic style.

His composed finish in the first half and opportunistic sliding effort in the second showcased his knack for being in the right place at the right time. Kleindienst’s display could earn him a more consistent role in a crowded pool of options as Nagelsmann looks to finalize his squad ahead of major tournaments.

After an inconsistent start to the campaign domestically, Florian Wirtz was back in business for Die Nationalelf, netting two goals and providing an assist.

His audacious free kick for Germany’s fourth goal and clinical finish for the fifth did, even more, to showcase the versatility of Wirtz in an attacking sense, being Germany’s primary creator whilst having a fantastic eye for goal.

While Germany’s brilliance was undeniable, Bosnia’s defensive collapse raised questions about their ability to compete at this level. The visitors were overwhelmed by Germany’s pace and pressing, struggling to string passes together or organise their backline.

Nikola Vasilj’s misjudgment on Wirtz’s free kick epitomised their nightmarish outing. This result serves as a wake-up call for Bosnia to address their vulnerabilities ahead of future challenges.

After sending a strong message to rivals, Germany now turn their focus to preparations for their final group match against Hungary on Tuesday.

Nagelsmann’s men have reaffirmed their credentials as a force to be reckoned with on the international stage. For now, the rebuilding process remains firmly on track.
