Details: Zelenska was invited to visit Slovenia by Slovenia’s First Gentleman Aleš Musar.

Zelenska visited the National and University Library (NUK) in Ljubljana, to which she gifted books by Ukrainian authors, and where the incident took place.

A protestor in front of the library building shouted in English: “War has to end. Russia will win!”

Following this incident, the man was detained and searched by police.

“The police identified the man at the scene. The incident did not threaten anyone’s life. The police were informed about the protest and took measures in this regard,” Ljubljana police headquarters said.

Slovenia’s Prime Minister Robert Golob expressed regret over the incident that took place near the library building.

He stressed that the man’s behaviour was unacceptable and there was “no room for it in our society”.

Background:

In October, a pro-Russian couple that had supported the Russian army was banned from entering Germany for 20 years.

In September, unknown persons painted several objects in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda with the symbol of Russian aggression in Ukraine, the letter “Z”.
