President Ursula von der Leyen’s new EU Commission is expected to start work on December 1. According to the German Press Agency, leading groups in the European Parliament agreed in Brussels to approve the proposals for the appointment of the top political posts. A final vote in the plenary session of the Parliament is still pending, but approval is considered likely.
