Only Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky arrived in Kyiv for the Third International Summit on Food Security from high-ranking foreign representatives. This is reported by local media.

It is noted that apart from Lipavsky, no other foreign minister or other high-ranking official has arrived in Kiev. In addition to the head of Czech diplomacy, his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sibiga and Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal spoke at the summit. Among others, the Czech Ambassador to Radek Peh and his Japanese counterpart Masashi Nakagome, who read out a speech by Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. The highest-ranking European official who arrived in Kiev was the European Commissioner for Agriculture. Janusz Wojciechowski.

At the summit, Lipavsky recalled that in recent years the Czech Republic has supported the initiative “Grain from Ukraine” and stressed that he would continue to support it in the future.

“We are proud to have been a part of this project from the very beginning. It is a great honor for me to confirm that we will continue to support this initiative in the coming years,” he said.

Recall, the Czech Republic condemns Russia’s actions on Ukraine and strongly supports Kiev. In addition, Prague is in favor of increasing sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation.
