The Czech Republic will not seek an extension of benefits exempting the country from the EU ban on the import of petroleum products from Russia. This was announced on November 25 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the republic.
“In the context of the current situation and the steps that the Czech Republic is taking to ensure independence from Russian oil imports, the Czech Republic sees no reason why preferential terms should be extended,” said department spokesman Marek Vosalik.
