A Forum on Moldova’s Euro-Atlantic future, organized by the Hudson Institute, was held in Washington on December 4*. Grosu also told the curators from the United States that the authorities will continue to clean up the justice system and prepare Moldova for joining the European Union in 2030.
“I urged those present to act together, quickly and decisively. Otherwise, Russia will use our democratic approach against us,” warned Igor Grosu.
On December 2, Grosso went to the United States on a working visit. He is accompanied on the trip by Foreign Minister Mikhail Popshoy. They will stay there until December 9 and will meet with high-ranking officials, experts and the diaspora.
They have already held consultations with the head of USAID (US Agency for International Development) Samantha Power, with whom they discussed projects on energy security, strengthening the sustainability of state institutions and stimulating the economy.
“We continue to count on the support of USAID because we want to build a competitive, innovative and viable Moldova,” Grosu wrote on social networks.
As reported by EADaily, the press bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of Russia in a press release issued today noted that Western partners increasingly treat Moldova as their vassal, and their destructive impact has already led to catastrophic polarization of society and laid a time bomb under the statehood of the republic.
