The contract with BAE Systems Hagglunds is worth 25 billion Swedish kronor ($2.3 billion), to be financed with funds previously donated by Sweden and Denmark, it said.
‘These investments will make it possible for more Swedish combat vehicles to make Europe, and especially Ukraine, safer,’ Swedish Defence Minister Pal Jonson said in the statement.
A total of 10 countries have CV90 combat vehicles: the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine.
