Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed optimism that his country could complete accession talks with the European Union by 2027 and join the bloc by the end of the decade.
Speaking at a press conference in Brussels, Rama highlighted recent swift progress after years of setbacks for the Balkan country’s membership bid. Albania applied for membership in 2009 but waited until 2022 before the accession negotiations could begin.
