Opus Dei denies harboring fugitive Polish politician
After speculation that Romanowski might be staying in facilities belonging to the Catholic organization Opus Dei, its members issued a statement denying that the wanted politician is residing in any of their centers.

What is Marcin Romanowski wanted for and what charges does he face?
Marcin Romanowski, a PiS member and former Deputy Minister of Justice, is wanted by police in connection with irregularities in the operation of the Justice Fund.
Romanowski faces 11 charges, including the alleged embezzlement of over 107 million PLN (approximately €25.11 million or $26.36 million) and attempted embezzlement of an additional 58 million PLN (approximately €13.61 million or $14.29 million).
The National Prosecutor’s Office has issued a wanted notice for Marcin Romanowski, who is hiding from law enforcement. The 48-year-old man, residing in Warsaw and Gilów, is 180 cm tall with blue eyes; anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the police.
