Skechers has increased its retail footprint in central Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, by opening a new concept store on the city’s Na Příkopě high street.
The 596m² store is strategically placed on a thoroughfare with a daily footfall of 120,000.
The space is designed to showcase Skechers’ Performance footwear, apparel and accessories.
The interior benefits from natural light and energy-efficient LED illumination, employing sustainable biopolymer materials sourced from European manufacturers.
The design incorporates mid-twentieth-century and modern aesthetics, highlighted by a prominent video wall and an eye-catching wraparound lightbox column over a specially designed feature table.
Skechers president Michael Greenberg said: “Skechers has universally become the brand that consumers look to for style, comfort and value, everywhere they live or travel.
“We have had great success expanding our business across Europe, most recently increasing our third quarter 2024 EMEA [Europe, the Middle East and Africa] sales by 30% over last year — and see our growing consumer presence in the Czech Republic as an opportunity to build on our strong momentum in the region.”
Skechers’ diverse range of products includes fashionable items, lifestyle options and specialised performance footwear for sports aficionados.
The Czech Republic now has eight Skechers retail outlets – five others in Prague, and locations in Modřice and Ostrava.
There are 5,300 Skechers stores globally, e-commerce opportunities through Skechers.cz, and its products are available via other prominent regional retailers.
