Chris Gallagher insists Larne’s UEFA Conference League win over Belgian side Gent at Windsor Park on Thursday night must be the spark that lights the touchpaper to get their title defence back on track.
Following a rollercoaster European campaign in which they lost to Molde, Shamrock Rovers, St Gallen, Olimpija and Dinamo Minsk, the east Antrim outfit got it right on the final night with defender Tomas Cosgrove bagging the goal that ensured an historic three points as Larne became the first ever Irish League club to win in the group stage of a European tournament.
