Equity markets in the UK and France fell in thin trading, leading the European benchmark to wrap up 2024 with modest gains.
The UK’s FTSE 100 was down 0.3%, while France’s CAC 40 Index fell 0.1% by 08:10 a.m. London time. Bourses in Germany, Italy, Denmark, Switzerland and Finland were shut through the day.
