A forecasted decrease in beef cattle numbers across mainland Europe will give Ireland “huge opportunities”, according to Philip Tallon, operations manager at Dawn Meats.
However, speaking at the launch of Bord Bia’s Export Performance and Prospects Report for 2024/25, he also said there are challenges on the horizon for the sector.
